作为POHA-丹佛基金的一部分, the 营养学系 offers students enrolled in a nutrition graduate program at 密歇根州立大学丹佛 (includes the 饮食实习 program) the opportunity to apply for an annual $5,000 POHA-丹佛多样化 Nutrition scholarship or stipend program.

*饮食实习 Applicants must wait to apply after confirmation of matching to the DI program.

• Must be admitted to 密歇根州立大学丹佛 as a graduate student (MSND or DI student)

如何申请:

1. 完成一个电流 FAFSA应用程序. FAFSA information is required for scholarship/stipend consideration. Any application without FAFSA information will not be reviewed.
2. 完成一般奖学金申请. Students must first apply to the 普通奖学金申请 to receive access to the POHA-丹佛多样化 Nutrition Scholarship application. 的 普通奖学金申请 is now open and can be completed anytime after your graduate program acceptance.
3. 完成 POHA-丹佛多样化 Nutrition scholarship application 3月1日至4月30日. You will gain access to this scholarship application only after completing the 普通奖学金申请 above. As part of the POHA-丹佛多样化 Nutrition scholarship application, you must thoroughly and thoughtfully answer the following essay questions:
   • Are you currently an undergraduate student at 密歇根州立大学丹佛?
   • Were you previously an undergraduate student at 密歇根州立大学丹佛?
   • What languages other than English do you speak, and please describe your level of proficiency.
   • 你是第一代大学生吗?
   • Why do you think diversity is needed (important) in the nutrition and dietetics profession?
   • Please describe how you could contribute to enhancing diversity within the nutrition graduate programs at 密歇根州立大学丹佛 and within the nutrition and dietetics profession.
   • Describe your cultural life experiences and how they align with the goals and objectives of the POHA-丹佛 grant.
   • How do you intend to use this scholarship if awarded?

4. 的 POHA-丹佛 grant provides both scholarship and stipend opportunities for students. POHA-丹佛多样化 Nutrition stipends are tied to graduate research assistant positions in the 营养学系. Research assistants provide support for study design, 数据收集, 数据输入, report writing and other various research tasks. Research assistants must demonstrate leadership and self-starter characteristics. 的 营养学系 also employs graduate students as teaching assistants but through another application avenue. For questions about teaching assistant opportunities, please contact (电子邮件保护). 的 following application is ONLY for graduate research assistant positions. 研究生 research assistants for POHA-丹佛 typically work 10-20 hours per week and are paid a stipend for their work ($5,每学年000美元或2美元,每学期500美元). 的 following questions must be answered as part of the stipend application:
   • Would you like to fill out an additional application to be considered for a graduate research assistant stipend position through POHA-丹佛? (Please note that this application is only for POHA-丹佛 graduate research assistant positions. 的re is a separate application process for graduate teaching assistant positions. Current dietetic interns are not eligible for graduate assistant positions.)
   • Why do you want to be a research assistant for the POHA program?
   • Please describe your research interests as they relate to the topic of diversity in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
   • Please describe your other areas of research interest.
   • What skills or experience do you have related to research that will help you excel at this position? Please provide at least one specific example demonstrating your skills or experience.
