Welcome to the second issue of 吵闹的学者! We originally planned for this issue to go live in the Spring 2020 semester, but the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated pushing publication back as authors, 指导老师, and editorial board members juggled school, 工作, 照顾孩子, 健康问题, and other obligations under unprecedented circumstances.

We are thrilled to finally be able to unveil this issue, 哪一个, like the first issue of 吵闹的学者, features the 工作 of undergraduate researchers at 密歇根州立大学丹佛 who have chosen to delve deeply into scholarly 工作, producing new knowledge and contributing to ongoing conversations in multiple disciplines. 就像第一期, this edition showcases the 工作 of many individuals, 包括学生作家, 他们的教师导师, 编辑委员会.

不像第一期, this edition’s final production took place remotely, with all communication between authors, 指导老师, and editorial board mentors conducted at a distance, with everyone striving to balance this 工作 with the added labor of homeschooling children, managing unprecedented levels of stress, and surviving a global pandemic. We are grateful for everyone’s dedication, but especially for the perseverance of the student authors whose 工作 is published here. You continue to inspire and humble us.

We continue to believe deeply in the potential of undergraduate researchers to make valuable contributions to knowledge. We encourage scholars of all types to read and cite the 工作 featured here.
